An interesting use of our 3D printer is to peal back some of the layers of finishes and just show the framing. Scale models have been used for hundreds of years to visualize and study prior to full-scale construction. Common these were used for timber frame structures, intricate staircases, ships, etc. This one happens to be a simple garden shed.
Here is another test print as removed from our 3d printer. Although the printer has some difficulties with long beam spans, deep overhangs and small details the quality is improving. We are in the process of swapping our printer for a newer model that was just released that prints larger sizes, faster, quieter and at better quality. Stay tuned for more updates!
